i think i did it wrong haha
its mirroring any modification to data on either external or internal but treats them as one in the same.

    I'm ok with this.

@elgecko this is useful for if you have apps larger than the size of the internal space i.e. grand theft auto vice city

This is a great question.. my phone actually did switch the memories but then my music and pics disappear and I still can't install big games such as dead trigger 2 because it still doesn't put the data files in the right place.. this is a great idea but it still isn't working right

Well for me everything is duplicated in internal sdcard and external SD. Anything that I add to my external sdcard it moves to my internal as well. For big game files as you were talking about. I think the game searches the internal SD instead of external.

Yeah I have duplicates too... this phone has so much potential but these dumb hardware mistakes make me regret buying this phone

I don't regret the phone, but in my opinion the lack of memory is the one thing holding the F3 back from being a GREAT phone. It has pretty much everything else going for it....

Ok after a few weeks of normal use and installations of all sorts of apps. I redid the link 2 sd and have it and this mod working together. It is indeed working correctly. I have dungeon hunter 4 and badlands both installed and still have plenty of space. I partitioned the sd card to have a 2 gig ext2 partition for the link2sd and the rest is being used now as internal memory. The only issue I seem to be having now is transferring files from my computer to the phone via usb. Not sure why.

What's the advantage to having link2sd set up along with this mod?

I decided to give this a try and really wished I didn't.

I found that yes it does switch the internal and external storage, except as someone else stated earlier the gallery does not show my previous pictures. They are still there and can be viewed with a folder explorer, but not in the gallery.
Also noticed that the internal SD is duplicated as others have noticed.
I downloaded an app that had a large amount of data that I could not before. I can with the mod.... I have another way I have been getting large data file apps on the phone that's messy, but works.
Decided to convert everything back to the original way it was because I found that the mod isn't really necessary for me and wanted my pictures in my gallery.

Now what has happened, even after trying to clean the caches, is it take forever for my phone to scan the media on my external SD card....I mean forever.
It used to take under 2 minutes to scan the card, now it takes over 10 minutes and chews the battery while doing this.
I have a backup before trying this mod, which may be getting flashed shortly to hopefully fix the issue....

I really dont understand what is happening to everyones pictures mine are there in my gallery just as they were before as seen in this screenshot... My sd card scans just the same as it did before the script was installed as well. There are three instances as one is from my old phone the second one is from before the install of the script and the third is after. But they are all there and all viewable from the gallery.

Might have idea about the pictures when I see what you attachment.
Are the picture on internal or external? Mine where on external.
I'm not using the stock camera, and named the folder my camera saves them to the external as "pictures". Wonder if the folder needs to be named "camera"?

I came from a motorola triumph using cm9 so the pictures were on the external hd.

I believe the path was DCIM/camera on the externalk.... The path now seems to be DCIM/100LGDSC. If you open your stock camera app and make sure it is set to save on the internal it will save to the external as the script has them switched. I just did this and it works and saves to the correct path. All you have to do is copy all of your photos to this path and go from there! I just did the copy and deleted the other folder path and the pictures are saving only to the external (which is now seen as the internal)..

Now my question is can we delete the contents of the old internal sd that we see when we plug the phone in to the computer.

So yeah bro it tricks the system into thinking it has more memory it does use the internal memory from time to time

I have this and link2sd installed on my phone and it's great. I have a bunch of huge games and apps installed and only 500mb of internal storage is used.

You have to rename it and remove the .txt so that you can proceed with smanager.

Cool! It worked for me. Now that leaves me with some questions.

So now the phone is basically using my external sd card as a replacement for internal memory, right?

The contents that was originally on my external sd is now in sdcard0, does that mean that it's no longer in my external sd? If so, is it safe to move those contents back to external sd?

Lastly, what would happen if i remove my sd card out of my phone?

Technically no contents were moved. Your external sd is still your external sd and same with your internal sd. Your phone is essentially being tricked into believing that your external sd card is your internal sd card. There are still limitations because of this. Also, the same contents are still in your external sd card and your internal sd card. Because of this I wouldn't move anything around.

Ok. Now one thing that i would like to know... before i did this to my phone i would download a lot through my phone via unsupported format. Originally i have folders in my external sd which certain downloads go in to, pics, downloads, music, etc. My question is, if i was to now download something that i would've put in a folder in my external sd originally, where do i put in now? If i was to move it to the new external sd/memory will it be in my sd chip? Or do i have to move it to the new sdcard0 which now my original external sd contents are now in?

When I changed the download directory in the Dolphin web browser to sdcard0 (internal storage) it physically puts it on the external sd card. Same thing when I do things like backup my contacts or memopad. Before, the backups would be put on the internal card. But now they are put on the external card because they think it is the internal card.

    - Twice now 36-48 hours after I do this mod it undoes it's self without warning and without reason.

    - I used my Guide LG Optimus F3 Apps SD Card first.

    - Has anyone else noticed this problem?
