So I see the stuff in the download ROM section does this just save to your sdcard I assume?now in rom manager as well![]()
I havent dl'd anything thru rom manager yet. Im too focused on kernels. Dang I have a folder on my sdcard called kernels and I got 16-17 kernels in there now. I should probably get rid of some of the ones I know I'll never use anymoresaps its saves to sdcard - clockworkmod-download
which is good to knwo for kernels as i always wipe davlik first and rom manager doesnt give you an option. so i would download it, not install it, boot to clockwork and and do it on my own.

I downloaded it to my SD, renamed to update.zip, booted into clockwork, applied the update.zip, then cleared davlik cache, and then rebooted.... and I still have 3-second timeout.
Running the voodoo kernel 0.2.
Any thoughts?
thanks

Thanks. I had the XDA 32 sec version, that didn't work, then the ROM Manager one 32 sec one... that didn't work... I will try the XDA 15-sec one.

I am not panicing YET, going to give it a few minutes to figure itself out.
Waited 15 mins, decided I was borked... de-borking in process, thank the Almighty I took a backup first.
De-borked...I think I will hold off on modifications for the rest of the night.
I'm having similar issues as Skipster (minus the borking, thankfully).
I downloaded the 15sec from XDA to my sdcard. Tried twice, first by "install zip from sdcard" method, followed by a davlik cache wipe--didn't work. Went back, renamed it to update.zip and did it that way, again, followed by a cache wipe. Still getting the darn 3 seconds.
Any ideas?
My SF isn't running anything fancy; aside from root+clockwork and a couple mods, all I've got is Voodoo. No oc's/kernel's yet.![]()
I still can't get it to work. Tried from CWM and then from ROM Manager. Wiped Dalvik cache each time. No luck.
Is it because I removed some of the stock bloatware? I ask because it's been said that OTA updates (especially update to Froyo) might not work if you removed certain apps.
Really want the 32 sec mod
It would be GREAT if backlighting was tied to the screen's timeout, i.e. key backlight goes off when screen goes off; on when screen is on.
are you on a stock kernel?
the *only* thing i can think of why it isnt working would be a kernel possibly. i dont know if anyone on a stock kernel has tried this. all the kernels im using now have bln support built in, so i dont know if that is what is enabling the exl to work.
anyone on a stock kernel care to comment?
you need a deodexed rom...
im going to work on a fix for non deodexed....
ill keep you all updated![]()
Oh yeah spoken like a charter platinum member no lessI am SOOO a member of the Borked Brigade... on every device I've owned in fact. I have even borked Mainframes back in the day, so I know from borking!!!
I am on stock kernel with voodoo 0.2... thats the issue. I may decide to swap back to the droid for a day so I can hack the sh*t out of this with a deodexed rom... the hour I was without a working phone today was the longest hour since I bricked my touch Pro 2 back in May!!!
