Pretty simple. I want to flash Pac Man, just want to know if it I need to download the .tar file or the .zip file. I will be flashing via desktop Odin. I already have el26 kernel but I'm on touched by s4 which is jb so I need a ics modem and just need to know how to flash it.

Odin uses tar files and recovery uses zip but if your putting on Pacman which is a aosp rom just use the zip version of a ICS modem after you flash Pac, no need to use Odin......:smokingsomb:

Thank you. I figured it out after posting this yesterday. I watched a YouTube video. I did flash pacman rom and dirty unicorn but ended up going back to touched by s4 because of small things like not being able to customize lockscreen shortcuts and dirty unicorn wouldn't let me access my apn to set up mms. Are there any aosp Roms with everything working?

Not that i have found, Liquid Smooth and Slim Bean in my opinion are the best, but both still have small issues......

The holy grail is an AOSP ROM with no bugs and supports OTA PRL and has the hidden menu function...

Just because u can't get to apns with the ##3282# method doesn't mean that they can't easily be changed. I love aosp personally

It isn't that they can't be changed. There are many other settings in the hidden menu function that would be quite nice to have on AOSP, and I have yet to run across an AOSP ROM that didn't have a bug or two.

He said his problem was hat he couldn't access the menu.

I was, however, unaware that aosp was lacking options in this menu.

I was up all night messing with it. I was able to edit them on Pac man, not dirty unicorn. I'm aware of the fix for aosp Roms, I downloaded apn manager pro. It didn't work for dirty unicorn. I flashed the zip, which did allow mms to work but I went back to tw because I still couldn't edit lockscreen shortcuts

I agree. I personally don't care how I have to fix it but need mms. With dirty unicorn, I open voice dialer, say "apn" and out brings up a screen that says Sprint but you can't change anything. You can't view anything. It was simple on Pac man. But battery life in those roms are great. Very sexy too

I agree, i love running 4.2.2 but untill they get the small issues corrected i will be staying with TWs, with that said 4.2.2 is coming to the TW roms very soon lol.....

That sucks. I would have thought aosp wasnt a problem for this phone outside of the mms because i knew ##3282# wasnt available on those roms. I just really thought there would have been a stable rom out by now. however i imagine nothing is more stable than TouchWiz for our phones so ill keep my fingers crossed for the future. Thanks for the help.
