Help moment to laptop

my moment connects just fine to my pc running xp. same OS on laptop and when i plug in i get a tone, select "mount" on phone. the phone thinks its connected but nothing on laptop (not recognized). device manager says its working properly, could this be affected by admin which i am not? any help is awesome.

I haven't experienced your problem, but using xp for anything without admin rights is a pain in the patoot.

On the PC in Computer Management, under Disk Management, do you see a drive that doesn't show up in Explorer?

If so, change the drive letter to something not already taken.

I had a similar issue and nothing worked. Finally I downloaded the app "easytether" and followed the instructions. It works!
