Is there a way to bypass the activation screen? I don't want to activate the phone... Thanks for any replies.

Edit: So apparently I can't bypass the activation screen. If you wouldn't mind, could you build me a copy of this ROM without the activation hassle? I just want to use the phone as a platform to play mobile games on WiFi (i.e. no calling).

Activation is built into your phone not the rom. You gotta delete the itson folder, in the carrier partition

P.S: I was able to go straight to the home screen when dirty flashing the ROM and really liked it so I hope I can get it to work...

EDIT: So I flashed the ROM but can't find the carrier partition in TWRP. I don't what I need to do to remove the wizard that pops up when I start the phone.

EDIT2: Saw your post about not being able to see the partition in TWRP. Think I figured out the solution. See my thread in the general forum for Tribute

The ROM is fantastic. No errors of any kind. Just after the first reboot, boot back to TWRP, mount system and delete LGstartupwizard.apk and the configuration screen is gone for good. However, I have lost the home button key. There is no response. Tribute has an old legend of home/back key misbehavior.
Edited :- The best part is Viper4android incorporated in the system. Sounds great !!

You should be able to flash right over, I'd make a back up. This version was completely redone to fix issues people were having with the soft keys. And added bunch of things and removed gapps so ppl could install what gapps they wanted if wanted. If you already deleted the itson folder it'll won't come back with my roms.

If your not having issues flashing my rom, shouldn't need to but I've had people say it stops them from getting past the itson activation. My rom doesn't include it anymore but the phones have it built in. That's why I highly recommend deleting it. All it does is check your phone to make sure it's in service when you first buy the phone or when you restore it

Ok that happens when permission aren't correct. TWRP should be able to fix that. Are you by chance using link2sd?

after this ver you will be fine, 1-4 were built on a different system. Ver5 and newer will be the same. as of right now 5 may be the final unless something comes up but so far the wife and i been running it on our 3 phones for couple weeks with no issues

I decided to give this rom a go and noticed that in the settings you are unable to click the home screen setting without it crashing, also is anyone aware of how to switch the internal with the external SD? memory on this thing is ridiculous

Home screen is for the stock which is no longer there, gotta use nova settings, as far as memory link2sd
