I got mine locally from an electronic parts store. Not radio shack. A 6ft micro "B" usb cable was around 3 bucks. Check your local directory and see if there's a real electronics store near you.

    This.

There is zero reason to buy a cable anywhere else if they have them.

If its a cable, monoprice.com has it. So yes, they have micro, they have mini, they have HDMI, extensions for everything cable related, etc.
The micro's come in a lot of flavors as well, ranging from 1ft all the way to 10ft sections, none of them over $3 a cable. Chargers, RCA cables, USB hubs and the list goes on.
It's extremely easy to use and I usually get my order in less than a week. I'm actually going to be ordering a bunch more cables very soon, just need to gather a list of the ones I want so I can bulk order it all. The most I spent there was $50 once, and I got a package of cables that was over 10lbs. Actually IIRC, the shipping was 1/5th of the price, lol

not really...it depends how many you are buying and where you are...
Deal extreme product price are usually slightly higher than Monoprice BUT Deal extreme is Free shipping and Monoprice do charge you for shipping.

If you're buying 1-2 items and NOT in a hurry, Deal extreme is probably cheaper. Problem with deal extreme is they ship from oversea(outside USA), so it may take must longer than Monoprice 3-4 business days.

Yeah... but is the cable that I'm looking for a MicroUSB or a MiniUSB cable? God, these guys have to quit making so many freakin' USB cable standards.

if you already have an adaptor and just need the USN to Micro USB cables, then it is $0.95 (IF YOU ORDER 2) each at monoprice plus S&H...or at deal extreme, $1.20 each free shipping.(but takes longer)....Do't know abt quality as mine not arrive yet.....
Probably lower quality than your $13 cables but then, you get what you pay for

I just ordered two spare 1.5 ft micro usb cables, a 3 foot micro usb cable (for work) an AC/USB adapter and two packs of cable ties, and with shipping it was $10 from monoprice.com. I'd never heard of the website until I saw executor485's post above. I'm naming my next kid after him.

MicroUSB is a standard, so if it uses MicroUSB... it will work.
