Moto X adjusting volume problem

I recently got a Moto X through the Republic Wireless plan and I have noticed something weird about the volume rockers. Whenever I adjust the volume, it will show up on the screen and change by one increment, but it won't show on the screen if I change it by more. Also, if I try to drag the circle left of right to raise/lower the volume, it won't move.

Note: This only happens when adjusting the media/game/music volume. The ringtone volume works just fine.
