Help Motorola Defy Message Tone

hi does anybody know if it is possible to have a mp3 as a message tone instead of the tones that are already installed thanks

Yes, one way is to create a folder on your SD card named "Notifications" and save the desired mp3 in that folder. You may need to reboot/remount the SD card (I forget), but when selecting the tone for "Notifications", the menu should see that mp3 file.

I connected my DEFY via USB & selected: Mass Storage.
I created the folder "notifcations"
I placed the tones I want in this folder.

I still can't see this folder via phone when wanting to choose a custom text or email alert tone (only shows the standard tones that come with the phone).

HELP ! lol

The "Notifications" folder needs to be in the "media" folder on the SD card.

Issue resolved:

I didn't have a medai folder at all.

Solution:

created "media" folder, inside that created "audio" folder, inside that created "ringtones" + "notifcations" folders.

now works perfectly
