Help Motorola Milestone Backlit keys

I have a question guys, help me to solve.
You notice a little 'light under the lens of search and the display itself?
Circles indicate where the image I linked, below is a little light that comes out, white of course, visible under the black strip on which are drawn the 4 symbols (return, menu, home, search)

that effect is seen only if you light up the keys that I mentioned above: (return, menu, home, search)
when they are off you do not see that little light.

Yes, I noticed this - think it's probably just the backlight shining through.
Lots of phones have a little bit of light bleed round the edges, to be fair.
