Too bad I missed my chance. Touchdown works great and is one of very few smartphone apps I have found on any platform that syncs all folders. The second I had an issue connecting to my exchange server I just bought this and have not been sorry.

I'm in the same boat as you. I purchased it not long after trying it out. Not getting any corporate calendar or e-mail notifications was killing me. Hopefully, this will help out some people that are still having issues that didn't want to spend the money on something that will be obsoleted in the next update.

Awesome that Motorola is doing this! It seems like they really care about their customers.

I sent them an email and within 30 minutes they had emailed me a touchdown license key. great work! now if only they can get 2.2 out that quickly :)

I emailed them too, this is pretty awesome because I was wishy washy about buying Touchdown.

I wish Google would by them and incorporate it into Android, because the stock implementation of Exchange in Android is pretty poor, but then it's poor on any mobile device except windows mobile phones... but they suck at everything else!

screw them for not making it retroactive...

took me all of 24hrs to realize the stock exchange app was sorry as hell. plunked down my cash for TD, and now they give it away...

Exchange support in any mobile OS except WinMo is crap in general.

Pretty happy that I read about it! I didn't even know about Touchdown until I saw it on these sites. I just figured I'd wait until the fix in 2.2, but now I'll grab my code and get Touchdown today! Woohoo!!

Sidenote* too bad the key is not transferable between devices.... :(

I really never had any problems, but can't hurt to get it for free.

What about when we get Froyo. If you transfer the app to the SD then put the SD in your new device wouldn't everything still be unlocked?

How long does it take to get the license once you submit the email?? Days? Weeks??

Got mine less than 24 hours later. Requested it sometime around noon, had the license key in my email the next morning when I woke up.

give it til tomorrow or wednesday. it takes 2 to 3 business days. they need to verify the account info and the issues.

The license is supposedly tied to your specific phone, so it should work fine with Froyo.

Does anyone get updates when the folders (filters) receive email? Does Touchdown work in that situation as well?

can Touchdown Exchange handle more than one email account?

Like TWO Exchange emails? If so, how?

Yes you can. But only one account will be active at anytime (pushing or polling). To create new profile, please click Menu/More/Profiles on the main screen, and add a new profile. Long press on any profile to see options such as moving its data to SD card etc. Once you create a new profile, a new button in the home screen (looks like a filing cabinet) will let you quickly switch profiles.
