I really love my Nexus 4. Stock Android has done 100% of everything I've needed in a smartphone. I do think it's time for a major redesign on the next version. Not that I dislike the current UI. I really like it, but I do want something new to learn. I'm praying that Google lets the N4 have the next major version, but if not, I may turn to ROMs.

Android Silver has potential, but if they can't give us competitive pricing, then I'm out. It will be a sad day for the Android universe if the only cheap flagship phone is some obscure phone that you need an invite and a letter of recommendation from God to purchase.

I would not be surprised if there is more than one Google phone coming this fall.
It is rumored that Google will be doing away with the name Nexus anyway.

Its one of those vague clues that people blow things out of proportion.. But not so much public wouldn't believe it and sometimes are even correct.. Only time will tell...

No, Google already confirmed a few weeks ago the Nexus line of phones are here to stay. They mentioned that a reference device is essential for them and for the development of Android.

Yup, almost August. Time for the endless Nexus rumors to begin. ;) I 5.9" inch screen would get me to seriously consider an upgrade, especially with Nexus pricing. (drool) Better have a big battery.

It is funny to have LG denying they are making a Nexus device for the second year in a row. Of course, last year LGs comments had no basis in reality.

I won't say that HTC isn't making the new Nexus, but it is worth noting they are rumored to have a Nexus tablet (about 8") that is overdue to be announced. It wouldn't surprise me if the rumors of the tablet are being confused with a phone.

OTOH, 5.9" seems awfully large for a Nexus phone, as that is larger than most current phablets. My guess is that a phone that large would more likely be one of the rumored Android Silver devices than a Nexus.

I'm sure we'll see more rumors pop us then, in a couple of months, some FCC filings. And if the Android Silver rumors are true, I can see Google wanting to have some fun. I can see an event to unveil Android L's new logo on the Google campus where they shoot video that includes several different phones, without any hints as to which are Nexus phones and which are Silver.

All the same rumours and comments coming out just like last year where LG denied making it right up to the day it was launched i believe.
I reckon all the rumours will become fact when they actually launch the ned device,so i'll believe it when i see it.
I don't really get them releasing info on any new device as this must generate word of mouth advertising prior to release and result in more sales.

If I had to guess, this is the rumor I tend to believe for now. While it does seem odd that LG would make the Nexus for a third year in a row, LG has done a (mostly) good job with the Nexus phones.

Mods can we get a "Nexus 6" forum going? Not sure if this will be called by that name but it should be fun.

Unless it offers a wacom stylus and multi window/air command I'm not buying.

Personally as long as they continue the Nexus line of devices ( which Google has clearly stated that they will continue to do so) I will be happy with whomever they decide to manufacturer the device. HTC would be awesome... As HTC does make excellent devices. I have owned two HTC devices and both have been a superior phone. Especially the HTC HD2... the almighty of mightiest phones. I was able to run and dual boot not only WP7+ but also Android on the same device and then I also have its successor, the HD7.
I also own a Lenovo 9 inch ideal tab, that is a very nice tab with rich features and at a low cost.
Now that Lenovo has purchased Motorola, Lenovo has got access to Google patents as well as a strategic relationship with Google, which gives Lenovo that extra Google factor and a nice slice of the Android pie. So I wouldn't be surprised to see the next Nexus phone to be manufactured by Moto-Novo! Let the rumors continue!! Lol.
I am looking forward to the next Nexus phone, regardless of the size and who actually manufacturers the device its self and I will more than likely purchase one around the first of the new year. I love my N5 and can't wait to see the new Nexus revealed!

As the Note is out of the $$$ range that I am willing to drop on a phone(I buy unlocked), this Nexus might just be the next phone I buy. I too hope it includes a stylus.

This might be what makes me break my promise to myself to use my N4 for two years.

Same size as the Nexus 5 but less bezel would be perfect.

I know I'm likely in the minority but I find a 4.5" to 4.8" screen is ideal. 5 inches is too large, at least to me. Having said that, my guess is that the next Nexus will have something around a 5.2" screen.

If it's a Nexus, I'd say not a chance. Samsung's got that game locked up. ;)
