    I have:
    Samsung - SGH-I897
    Version:
    2.3.3
I moved to China from the USA. It used to be an AT&T phone.
I had it unblocked and they put on 2.3.3 on the phone.
Have 3G and WiFi in China
    Now the Market won't work.
I get an error that says "No Connection RETRY"
I have made sure that my account is my GMAIL account, the same as before.
    Any help with this?

If not, is there a way to download aps on my computer and transfer to my phone?

    Any help would be fantastic

If you are rooted, you can easily download the apk on your computer and transfer it over, then install it yourself without the market

What about finding a US proxy to connect through? That might fool the android market into thinking that you are in the US.

If you're rooted, I'd suggest getting your hands on Market Enabler, and using the app to temporarily "swap" your market location so that you can access apps.

Can you use the Amazon Market instead? It may not work in China either, but it is worth a shot. You should be able to find the Amazon Market apk somewhere on Amazon.
