I want to know have any of yall watched movies on the Evo v yet??
And have you tried the surround sound??

Between Crackle, TruTV GO, Netflix and normal AVI I have watched about a dozen movies on it at least.

Not sure what you mean about the surround sound... Are you talking about watching movies through the HDMI output and using surround sound?

i watched a few and converted some to 3d but cant really notice it on the evo but can on my tv.im not sure how much longer im going to have my evo but for now im planning on renting a bunch of movies from red box to burn and will transfer some to the phone.

the only way i can tolerate watching movies on the phone is with head phones on.

I've watched a lot of downloadable movies on my Evo 3D using MxPlayer.

How get mxplayer work all the time I can get it to work sometimes I'll have to open the stock player first play a movie in 3 d then open mxplayer to get it to play, answer options for 3 d or something

No, i mean have you watched a movie and went to the menu to go to Sound Enhancers and selected surround sound and watch the movie in surround sound.

Yea i hear you. The speakers are on the back so you really cant enjoy it if the speakers are pointing away from you cause thats where the sound is mostly going

Thanks for the feed back, i ask this question mostly because, i would like to see a mod like that for when we play music and before i go into the all things root section of the forums i would like to see how many people would like to see a surround sound mod for our music also??

whats the best format for our phones? i have quite a few videos on my sd card when i transferred over the files from my slider. MOST are just .3gp just to save on file size. but i wanna take advantage of the widescreen AND keep the file size manageable.

also, what video converter programs would y'all recommend?? i use iskysoft video converter ultimate, but looking for some alternatives.

To me the best movie formats are 3gp and Mp4 and i believe IMO is the format of our 3D movies so they are good formats, especially if they are in HD. And i really dont worry about file size cause my SD card is big enough and i dislike the widescreen option

i also just use mp4 that way i dont really need to worry about file size and i can just use the default player.

im just using the trial version of dvdfab to test it out.i just picked that one because of the trial and blu ray.im not sure how it stacks up to the other ones.

I notice that during streaming of movies via YouTube or even Sports commentary on ESPN, my video seems to freeze up every 5 seconds or so. That's pretty much what my old Optimus V was doing. I expected a bit more from my Evo. Am I setting something up wrong or is rooting the only way to make this work properly :(

Quick question for 3D movies. I read some post saying if converting 3D movies, the best result is to convert it to 960x1080 (since it would be side by side image so instead of 960x540, make it to be wider.)
Had anyone tried that? normal 960x540 seems fine to me.
