True. They're restricting rooted users access. Doesn't matter if you're on bamf or the stock ruu that's rooted. The moment it detects you're rooted, you'll see the movie stuff disappear from the market. They're not the only ones either. I think amazon does the same.
No it won't disappear on all roms. Some it will let you buy the movie and then not let you watch it
LOL. Thats jacked up. hahaha. Id rather have it disappear personally. lol.
Ya it still shows up for me, thats y i was wondering
Ok, mine stays there until I change the lcd density on my phone, then the movie section disappears.
Yeah I would rather it just not show up at. At least the android market is not like amazon was before where you could just buy stuff with 1 click.
Do yall think someone will figure out a way to get around the restriction? or is there one already?
There isn't one and I doubt there will be a way around it short of unrooting to watch a movie then rerooting. The restriction is there so google can appease the copyright owners and their interests. If someone finds a way around it more than likely is once it is public the owner's will withdraw the movies from the market. You can use netflix crackle and hulu from the market for a movie fix if you want
I don't believe Amazon Instant Video (or whatever it's called) is restricted to rooted users. A while back they gave out a free rental to those who retweeted something about their service. A few people I know who are rooted had no problem watching movies. I still have a credit, just haven't been in an airport or anywhere I'd have a need to watch a movie on my phone
Yeah Amazon doesn't put restrictions on root just Google
