Settings>Applications>Manage>tap the app and then tap Move to SD. There also several apps that keep an eye on this for you.

Link2SD, among others, can be set so that any new app you install gets installed to the SD card by default. (It's free.)

App2SD is what I use, free and paid for version.
Shows all apps you have downloaded, apps that on the phone and apps on the SD. Also gives notification of how much memory your temporary cache is using and lets you clear it if you want.

Remember if you are using a widget, it won't work if you move the app to the SD card.

    Edit by me.

Just reading a couple of reviews for this model, some posts were saying that not all apps would work for this model. No idea if that is true or not or what apps do / don't work, but some of the apps mentioned above may not work.

    Good luck though.

I have a storage problem, but when I try to move apps to SD card, I am unable to do so. The only options I have are "Force stop," "Uninstall updates," "Clear data," or "Clear cache." "Move to SD card" and "Clear defaults" are not lit up. What am I doing wrong?

Probably nothing, not all apps allow those things. Widgets and anything Google don’t, for example.
