Root MR2 radio on stock rooted rom

im using the mr1 radios with OMFGB,and used it with cm7. no random reboots. for whatever thats worth ;)

Good to know. I'm hoping my one random reboot there was because of the WiFi toggle.

According to the battery meter I'm already down to 94%, haven't even used it. Usually it doesn't tip below 90 until 9AM/10AM. Battery stats can be cleared in CWR, correct? I remember doing something similar with the DX Bootstrapper when I'd flash between ROMs on my X. I was finally starting to get decent battery life on stock, 6AM to 11PM ending around 30%. Hopefully the phone just needs to recalibrate.

On a side note: anyone know how to turn of the battery percent readout in Perfect Storm 1.5?

Thanks :)

Thanks for all the answers but I guess I asked my question incorrectly.

What I meant to say is this... If I go to the following post on XDA ([RADIO] HTC Thunderbolt Radios [PG05IMG.zip] (Updated: 16 June 2011) - xda-developers) I see all those radios on there and they all have version numbers like 1.16.00.0223 and what I would like to know is how can identify these as MR1, 2 or 2.5?

I can answer this for you later this afternoon,if no one has :)

I'm not 100% sure so I'll stay out of this one lol

keep in mind: each firmware has 2 radios-one for cdma/3g and the other for 4g. in order to use these radio downloads from this particular page youll have to do 1 of 2 things:
1)perform the radio flash in hboot twice-once for each radio
2) download them both, extract them, zip each image up with the android info text document from one or the other, and then zip them back up to create an hboot flashable file containing both radios.

if you use adrenalynes obligatory radio thread,he has them packed up allready, with exception of mr2 and mr2.5. you can find these downloads in the threads of perfect storm, and many of the gingerbread roms,or the "leak 2.5 radio" thread.

my way of doing the flash would be to find the radios allready bundled,or do #2. if i wanted to do #1,id use fastboot as described in the beginning of the xda thread.

alternatively,one could:
-flash the rom
-pull the battery
-power on into hboot and flash a radio
-pull battery
-put sd card in card reader to swap radio files
-power on into hboot to flash the second radio
-reboot phone
-collect underpants
-??
-profits :D

tho be aware that finding the correct bundled radio file is the safest, and most reccomended way to flash the radios IMO,as it requires less dangerous hboot flahsing.

hope that helps :)

Hm... I don't know if I flashed a packaged radio or just a 3G radio. Is there a way to check?

is your phone making calls,texts,3g,and getting 4g if its available where you are?

thats the best way to check that i know :D

unless you downloaded it from this thread,im sure its fine. this is the only place ive seen it this way. i can appreciate having them all seperate, but at the same time its been causeing alot of confusion for newer rooters.
