    Hi android forums,

I've got a Nexus One running CM6. I'm attempting to make a cheap wifi baby monitor as regular monitors will disrupt my wireless around the house, and wifi baby monitors are crazy expensive.

So I setup an old laptop to stream its microphone to an multicast address, 224.0.0.1:1234. I'm able to pick up the stream with another laptop running VLC if I set it to Open Network Stream at this address: rtp://224.0.0.1:1234.

I like the idea of multicast for this application, because then I can grab that stream from multiple computers with minimal delay, but I guess I'm not that attached to it if there's a better way, it is just nice that I can do it with a one-line ffmpeg command.

I would like to be able to pickup this stream with my phone - does anyone here know if such an application exists? I've been hunting through the market, there aren't any good hits on 'multicast' and none of the audio streaming apps seem to be designed for this.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Paul
