Accessories Multimedia dock:metal plugs crooked?

Hi
I have the multimedia dock...when I set the phone in it...the silver...don't know what to call them...the mini USB and the hdmi slot...they are a little crooked..sort of leaning sideways into each other...not straight up and down....

It makes it really hard to dock the phone..I need two hands and often spend thirty seconds trying to place the phone in the dock correctly...

Are they all like this or does mine have a defect?
