Apologies if this is a blatant noob question (I did consult the googles as best I could). When installing the Amazon appstore app, I somehow managed to download the apk multiple times, and looking in the notifications list, they seemed to be getting saved individually ("amazon_appstore-2.apk, amazon_appstore-3.apk, etc.).

Is there a way to locate & delete these redundant copies? There's precious little internal memory in an Optimus V, and I hate to use unnecessary space just because I'm too dense to click a download link only once.

They are most likely stored on your SD card rather than the internal memory. You can use a file manager such as Astro to locate them (look for a "download" folder) and delete the extras.
