Multiple Notification sounds

    Im trying to find out if you can have multiple notification sounds on the droid. One notification sound for a text message, another for gmail, another for SSM, ect. I got missed call but it doesnt have gmail notifications to change.

  2. Yes, you can set a different notification sound for each. Go into Gmail - menu - settings - select tone. Do the same for text, Gtalk, calendar...

    Install ringdroid from the market and you can even make your own, any MP3 will do. Save your snippet as a notification and choose that...it's fun to make them! Make 30 second ones and save as ringtones, the fun never stops. lol

    Add freebie Rings Extended, which enhances the sounds picker dialog box. Ensures you can get to ALL your sounds, not just the stock Android selection.

    Incidentally, you could also add freebie Missed Call for Android 2. Among other things, you can use it to assign a ringer to SMS and Calls. Main thing I luv about it: full text of SMS will be placed in your notifications drawer. Scroll down page for screenie showing all services available:
