    Hi guys

I have installed my new 32gb card into my desire and transferred my music collection (about 20gb) across via my pc but when I try to play them not all are available.

They appear to be on the card as when I check the contents of the card on the pc in explorer they are all there and if I check the folders using the phone again they are showing on the card.

But when I go to select a song to play from the stock player there are only 100 songs to choose from which is very strange as there should be over 2000 easily. Interestingly when I switched the phone off and back on again I had about 700 to choose from which is still not right.

Do I need to do anything with the vcard before installing (for example I didn't format it)?

For info I needed to set up a new folder called MP3 on the new card when I installed it and dragged them into this folder so presume that was correct?

It is a Sandisk 32gb card.

Any ideas for getting the other songs to be available?

    Cheers

    Update:

I uninstalled ATK and it seems to now allow all songs to be played. Has anyone else encountered this?

Some album art is not displaying even thou there is album art included. Anyone have any ideas on this one before?

It generally takes a short time for the music app to add new tracks to the library. Not sure why the album art isn't showing.

    Update:

I have the below which i found in another thread - thanks to Vordyn. Seems to have worked for me regarding the album art problem. Well the majority anyway. There are a couple which are not showing but I can live with that for now :)

Settings -> Manage Applications -> Media Storage and choose clear data, this will wipe the media library database from the phone.

This is where I got it form if anyone is interested - bargain really. They have all sold now but he has said he is getting some more in soon...

If your 32gb card came from ebay, then it's a fake.

A legit 32gb card will cost you around

You can get them cheaper. Unfortunately the one I bought seemed like a cheap import, but sold from the UK. It works but is faulty cause everytime I fill it up it says error then I have to reformat the whole bloody card again! Trying to get it refunded by contacting the seller.

Yes got it through ebay. :-(

Fakes generally have slow transfer speeds and massive reliability issues, added to which, it probably isn't the size it states to be.

Then yes it's a fake. This is what they do.

There should be a SD card thread stickied to warn others.

    Why?

They are clearly fakes, which if people cant spot they are, then will a sticky really help rid them of their stupidity?

Aww come on, not everyone can tell. Its the people who know they're fakes and still buy that should get no sympathy

I had a similar issue with my photos and videos.. It takes time for the app to load all the data, esp if its huge.

Im having the exact same problem. I have 200-300 artists and theyre not loading up. At the start i have one... Then they slowly start to expand. I too have a Sandisk 32gb but its definitely not a fake as i got it from a reputable store.

Its driving me nuts as this phone is meant to be a replacement for my iphone and so far its doing a terrible job music wise!!!

IMO this happens only in the beginning when files are copied, and once the files have been indexed by the phone, they'll all be there the moment you start up your music player..

    Hi

I've got a 32GB card and have exactly the same issue. It was a sandisk card I bought and came in the correct packaging and so pretty sure it wasn't a fake. Tried reformatting the card vie the phone and unmounting and remounting the card but with no luck.

    Any ideas?

I uninstalled ATK, rebooted the device and tried again but this did not resolve the issue.

When I get the chance I'm going to format the MicroSD and reboot the device back to the factory settings

Sure someone posted that you can't format more than 16gb in the phone. Bigger, and you'll need a pc

    Thank you :)

I'm going to try that as soon as I get the chance, this has been the worst time for the phone to break as I'm extreamly busy :(
