My mom has a Galaxy S3 and so does my little sister. They are both on Firmware 4.1.1 with the same everything

with my sister's S3, if she opens the Music Player, the app shuts down immediately but my mom's works fine.

So I did a factory reset for her but same result.

I toko her phone with me home to try to fix it

    what do you guys suggest?

When I click on software update it says I am on the latest

    :(

My sister's phone was rooted before but then I reverted back to stock when I gave it to her and then she updated from 4.0.4 to 4.1.1 so I thought she would not have any more problems

damn this is a very strange issue never seen it before. Do u by chance have a micro sd card in the phone? Try removing it and see. Otherwise it could be some song causing the issue. Try deleting the music files from the phone and see if it opens.

I can't wait till the next 4.1.2 update will become publicly available thank God I stopped using this phone.

See this is exactly why I gave it to her. I have no time for these things. I bought an iPhone 5 for the first time and let me tell you something, I like it more. why? simply because it works and has 0 quirks

At the end of the day, the Galaxy as better specs on paper, bigger screen, but is a headache (I know some are happy with ti just posting my own experience)

You see, I post this issue on a forum full of Android fanboys and haven't received one useful answer :(
