Music recognition app?

    hey guys

    is there an app for android that recognises music

    sony ericsson had one called TrackID that recorded a clip of music and found out the info from online

    is there one for android?

    Yeah there is a few, have a look on the market for Sound Hound and Shazam. Both great apps :D

    downloaded shazam and it works great

    there any limitations with either?

    SoundHound is known to be better then Shazam.
    I prefer SoundHound because of its interface.

    But both are great apps none the less.

    i think Shazam has been nobled.. unless you buy the full version these days.

    i find Midomi to be the best app for music recognition not only in recognising but the interface and the options it gives are just amazing :)
    EDIT: just tried to look for it in the market but its not there. ive got it long ago for my samsung galaxy and managed to extract it via titanium backup.so ive got .apk on my phone but not sure if i cam share it due to legal issues :)

    Both Soundhound and Shazam only allow you to do 5 tags a month unless you buy the premium versions.
