Hello,
i just switched to android phones from iphone. However i am having this issue with music skipping, jitter or stutter whenever i play. I have used flip, original player, mortplayer. From what i have been testing, the jitter or stutter mostly happens when the player is in locked mode.(maybe not) but it jitters everytime with Mortplayer.

I have been doing some search on this forum, and many people are having this issue. did anyone fixed this without rooting? (i know i tried to remove the weather widget(?), but still no luck)

Also is there a way to update this firmware? (maybe this will fix this issue?)

please help me out. I am going crazy!! lol

thanks in advance

I had the same problem, and it really annoyed me!

I found a few different suggestions, but this is the one that worked for me:

Go to Android market and get setCPU. RAISE your minimum processor speed. THE GUIDE that I read said to raise it to 200 or 400... but the music kept skipping for me till I raised it to 800 (Though the other guy said it was OK for him at 200)

I'd suggest trying it at 200... if it doesn't work go to 400... I personally have to use 800

Here's the discussion where I found this advice:

Definitive fix for the Galaxy S mp3 skipping/pausing/glitching problem [Archive] - xda-developers

ALSO... other discussions said that widgets can cause the skipping. Yet other discussions referred to "being on Orange." I don't know what "Orange" is, but if you're "on" it then that might cause your problem too!
