When I play music, it will out of no where just start skipping a few beats. This thing has the most powerful processor out there right now. What can I do to make it not do that? It's getting annoying and I would hate for it to happen around other people. Kind of embarassing that my high end phone can't play music smoothly.

Other than that and the gps, I like the phone so don't take this as me dumping on it.

Found a viable workaround for me is disabling the wifi interface while driving. I have not rooted my phone.

Before while driving and listening to music/podcasts through bluetooth; I would get the skips, lag, etc in all tried programs whether the audio was stored on a SD card, stored on the phone memory, or streamed. The last update by AT&T seemed to even make it worse.

Stumbled upon that when I turn wifi off, audio playback through bluetooth is problem free. Turn the wifi back on while driving even though it's not connected; the skips, etc return fairly quickly. All audio programs playback properly using this workaround for me now & I only have to occasionally deal with the buffer problem if I'm streaming in a weak 3G signal area; which isn't the phone's fault. Hopefully this helps someone else as a temporary solution.

Could also be some app/service running in the background. This could all be related to the lag issues with the phone.

Weather & Toggle Widget. As soon as I uninstalled it, my audio playback is perfect. I contacted the dev. He said it shouldn't be interfering, but to try and turn off some of the animations. Still testing.
