Help My Apps section in Google Play.

Hi,

Wishing I could delete the redundant apps that are sitting in the My Apps section of Google Play !

Seems from a search it's not possible.

You could have phrased this as a question

Open the Play Store app, go to your apps and select the "all" tab. You'll see the list of everything you've ever installed, with a little grey cross in the corner of each card. Guess what that does?

Sorry I thought I did.

There is no little x on the apps to delete them. This is the same if I check using my Mac or ipad!

Then if no little x they are installed.

I think the issue is they're apps I installed on previous phones but are not on my new s7 edge !

I'm not so sure: I have the little cross against apps that I'm sure I've never installed on this device, and also against apps that I currently have installed on other devices but not this one.

However, that last observation may be relevant: if I click on the cross on this device I don't expect it to remove it from the list on the other device where it is still installed. So if you are concerned about the list you see via a web browser rather than in the Play Store app on your phone this might be a different problem. If you really mean the app on the phone I don't know why you don't have the cross.

Following the advice I logged onto google play on the s7 edge and the crosses were there to delete.

I was originally looking at my apps in Google Play on my Mac.

Ah, that would explain it. We do tend to assume that people are talking about using their Android devices.

Sadly I'm afraid that I think you are right about the website play.google.com - I don't know how to edit the list there.

From looking and googling for information a person cannot remove from away from using an android device.

Now I'm trying to find out what MediaServer is in my Battery Stats. Used 24% !

MediaServer is the process that indexes all the media on the device, music, videos, etc.

I'm checking to see if Google Chrome was the culprit.

I'm using the stock Samsung browser right now.

The Sd Card is new with nothing on it. If necessary I'll format it.

I believe MediaServer should only be actively consuming power, if there's a change to the media on the device, like you added more songs or something. If it's running continually that can indicate a problem, e.g. an unreliable SD, or there's some other app making constant changes to media files.
