After flashing Adrynilynes (I know I spelled it wrong) 2.0 kernel my phone won't charge.

Is your battery dead? If not then flash a different kernel.

Does your phone turn on (or is your battery already dead)? If the battery is not dead and you get no response when on, well....my condolences. It is a risk of rooting.

Else (and this is the far more probable situation), get a different kernel. See if someone you know has a TB that you could use the battery from for ten minutes. Even a kind hearted and local forum member may help.

I was lucky, my battery was fully charged when I flashed the kernel so I could restore to a backup I had made before the battery died.

Does anyone have any idea why this would have happened? I really wanted this kernel.

It's really hard to say. It could've been a bad download or maybe that kernel doesn't like your phone. All phones are NOT created equal.

So trying the same kernel again might work?

Yes, it's possible but I would have a backup/goto kernel just in case. And of course it's always a good idea to do a backup in CWR anytime you flash something, though it sounds like you know this already.

Did you try wiping Dalvik cache before flashing?
