My car has factory I Pod & USB connectors to play music.
But when I connect Droid X to the USB port, my car stereo will not play any music. Anyone know how to fix it.

While I don't own a Droid X I know I had the same issue with my N1. The N1 does not play music through the USB port and as far as I know nothing allows it too. Your only options are to play it through the 3.5mm jack or bluetooth. I hope your Droid X is different, it would make things a lot easier.

I have the same exact problem with my DX. I have tried everymode available and my car says to check the device. I don't want to use the AUX bc the sound quality is just terrible. Any suggestions?

Hm... PC mode or even Mass Storage mode should do it. Maybe the stereo does not support the way the X mounts

EDIT: There might be some info here for you. One of those posts mentions changing some setting on the stereo itself.

Do you have something like SYNC? Then on your radio select AUX and then Menu select Stream Media(using Ford Escape as an example)
