I did a video comparison between my Evo and my first gen iPhone. These are my impressions from being a former iPhone user. Enjoy, and please leave comments as you see necessary.
(My SD card filled up while recording this so it's in two videos)

*edit: Let me clarify. This is not meant to be a definitive review or comparison. I am not a professional product reviewer. I'm just a tech enthusiast give you guys my impressions of my Evo versus my iPhone. I'm sure people will notice things that I let out of this, and I've already noticed quite a few things I meant to say but forgot. Please take my videos for what they are, first impressions.

Here's a link to photos I took: Dropbox - Photos - Online backup, file sync and sharing made easy.

Just a technical point, with no case, the EVO actually rest on the silver ring and not the lens...at least that's what Ive read multiple times.

Great review though, thanks for posting!

Best Buy. It's a "Platinum" brand case.

I just download that Live Aquarium on EVO, pretty neat, hoping that it might have some bubbles sounds which it does'nt, i think it needs more fish in aquarium.

So your'e comparing a 3 year old iphone to a "just released" android phone? Not really fare. Wait till the new iphone is released then compare.... Just to be fair!

    I know right.

I like this guy's review but that was hilarious.

Whats next, "I really dislike this phone because when I paly the NES emulator the enemies come at me too fast because the 1GHZ processor is way too fast for me"

Thank you very much for your take and comparisons. I wanted to know about the solid state of the phone because I want to buy whatever I need to so I can protect this phone when I get it on Saturday. I think you have one of the best videos out there that does a fair comparison. I still think the iphone is an incredible piece of hardware but I love what you can do with this Evo. I too am loving the fact that we're not having to depend on software to put a song on the phone.

Most of what I complained about was software related. Which for now is the same across all iPhone platforms. Also, this isn't meant to be a definitive review. It's simply my impressions coming from the perspective of an iphone user. And the changes made in iPhone OS 4 wont fix things like access to file system or apples arbitrary restrictions.
