Help My Contact Icon? & Text Layout?

Two questions:

1) How do I set my contact icon for texts and such, so that it's a picture of my choosing and not the little grey android? Before, I made contact of myself and gave it a picture, and that worked. That isn't working now.

2) How do I change the text messaging layout? It's currently the little white-and-green speak bubbles. I went into the settings screen from the text message, but "layout" wasn't an option to change. I know there were other options before. I also checked my normal "settings" area, but saw nothing there about text message layout either.

Sorry, this is probably really lame, but I've lost the booklet that came with my phone in a recent move and can't find the info in the online manual from my phone dealer.

(My phone recently updated to Muve Music- my friend did it for me when she borrowed my phone, thinking it was just an upgrade- now I'm trying to re-introduce myself to the phone.)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have the same questions as well... my picture showed up but then after I downloaded the update it no longer shows up.

If you plug your phone into your computer, the drive that automatically opens contains a users manual.

If your trying to see a picture as your contact icon, just edit your contact, and press the big button right above their first name.
