Hi folks. Newbie here. I just got me a desire and like it. I used to have an N95 8GIG. I have been trying to put two mobile numbers into the desire for one contact. On the N95 this is not a problem, you can put as many as you like per contact. But the desire only seems to let you put one mobile number per contact, unless you know something I don't. Any help chaps.
Select the contact you wish to add a number too. Hit Menu - Edit - Scroll down to others at the bottom of the contact info - Hit Add - Hit Phone - Add Number.
He was asking how he can assign multiple "mobile" labeled numbers. I have just opened a topic with the same question. (and using gmail is not a solution. i don't understand how some of you feel good about keeping your contacts on gmail servers).
Thanks for that mate, I found that. But the problem is if your contact has tree mobiles. And you wish to add the numbers for each. What you suggested only allows for if you want to ad a home or works number etc. My N95 would let me add as many mobile numbers per contact. So which ever phone the contact phoned me from he just popped up on my phone.
I can add loads of mobile numbers.. people > long press on contact > edit contact > add > phone > mobile loop through that as many times as you want!
you can add multiple mobile numbers to the contacts synced from gmail, not for those in the phone memory.
After I press "edit contact" I do not get the option to "add" - I only thing I can do in the edit contact screen is edit the name and the number I already have on the contact. Any ideas what I should do??
you can't do much with contacts stored on the sim card. i suggest copying all contacts from the sim card to the phone, and then hide sim contacts. (People > Menu > View)
