    Hi there,

I found that my Dinc is working slower than before. For example, it takes 2 seconds to load "people". I have only 400 contacts there. When I press call, it takes 1 second to go to the dialing mode.

I have only 40 MB memory left on my phone.

Is it normal? It is supposed to have a fast processor. If not, how can I address this issue?

    Thanks!

"Only 400 contacs". That's quite a bit to pull from memory when you load the People app. Also, 40MB is normal. The phone will clear out inactive applications as necessary to make room for more.

Wait, do you mean you only have 40MB left out of the phones memory of over 6 GB?

this is what TaskKiller says. When the phone restarts, TaskKiller says there is 200M memory available. After a few hours of use, it drops to 40M

That's RAM, and that's normal. Android/Linux can manage its memory just fine. Free memory on a device running a Linux based OS is wasted memory.

I see, you're talking about system "RAM" (Random access memory) and not phone storage, my mistake!

I don't think there are any issues with loading your contacts, 400 is a LOT.

Hoping for help with this too. Apps keep crashing on me due to low memory.
