Are you running with or without ATK?

I used ATK in the beginning and by battery would die around 3pm (unplugged at 8:30am) without ATK I am now lasting until 6 and sometimes 7:00pm...I think it really depends on what people are running besides ATK

    Depends what's running.

Using ATK gets me double the battery life (so I discovered yesterday).

When I use ATK, I only allow SMS Popup, Alarm & Timer, Talk, and ATK to run

This whole ATK seems to vary between people. I've gotten the same battery life with and without it. I'm currently running without it and haven't been able to kill the battery in a day yet.

I used the phone HEAVY today and after 10 hours it still at 40%. I've used a lot of the new high end smart phones and IMO not a single one can compare to the Droid X.

My battery life was good and all of a sudden it is shit. It seems as though I can't have more than a few hours of battery life now when before I had like 16. Also, my wifi ****s up sometimes. I might get it exchanged.

It's even better in conjunction with Advanced Task Cleaner. You can set certain programs to auto kill when the screen goes blank. So, you don't have to paranoid (idly?) close the browser with advanced task killer.

I have had my X since 7/15, and my experience has been pretty simple to explain, battery-wise....

    Turn OFF animations
Stay away from having too many widgets (facebook, news, etc)

and doing so has made my battery life go from HORRIBLE to AWESOME....

Just my 2 cents worth, YMMV.
