My files won't play

My name is Tamika Stackhouse and I have a Samsung Epic I have a question there are some videos that are in the my files on my phone that downloaded to my SD Card in the download section but they won't play keeps giving me an No application can perform this action error message how do I get this videos to play on my phone in MY FILES
