Before you flame, please read on to understand my bold statement!

So last night, I went to a concert at the House of Blues in Cleveland. One of my favorite bands, 30 Second to Mars, was playing. Anyways, as the concert goes on, the lead singer (Jared Leto) was looking to bring some people on stage. I got picked. I went up there, and I immediately thought, I NEED TO GET THIS ON VIDEO! I whip out my Incredible, and recorded a good 2 minutes until it happened. My phone decided to restart on its own. I started it back up as soon as I could but by the time it was loaded, they were taking us off the stage. I immediately checked my phone once off the stage to see if the video was there. It was, however, it was corrupt. F$%#$ wonderful!

The rest of the night, the stupid piece of shit restarted over and over. I had this problem before, but I restored my software to stop it. It must be bad hardware.

I'm heading to Verizon tonight and explaining how I lost it and I'm expecting them to replace my phone free of charge or I'll be VERY pissed.

I already refuse to buy another HTC product after this whole deal...

Anyways... Does anyone know of good data recovery software for corrupt files that would fix the file (says it's a 3gp file, but it may be mp4 because it wasn't done processing it) I'm hoping not all is lost!

    Thanks!

I had random restarts on Motorola and LG phones.. you might as well avoid those brands too.

I do. I had both brands. Both sucked. I'm just going to wait on Apple to come to Verizon.

    1. correct, ruu is the same as ota.
    2. theres usually not anyway to recover a corrupt file (video files are especially difficult.)
    3. i havent used this program in years, but somewhere out there in the trenches of the internet is a program called "total video converter." it always worked for me. it converts ANYTHING to ANYTHING. it might be able to recover your file.

    get tvc (good luck)
move your corrupt file to your comp
attempt a conversion to something like .mpg
    see if it works.

but i mean, its just 30STM. no big deal.
(i hate jared leto with a fiery passion)

    but regardless,
    hope it works!

If you buy Apple, be sure you power it off once a day or iPhone will have trouble too. Just because you don't hear a lot of noise about it doesn't mean it doesn't have its own problems...

I've used iOS devices for a while now, they're much more reliable.

That's possibly because they dumb everything down enough where the simple user can't mess it up. Enjoy your Iphone, I'm sure you won't be happy with it either. But hey you can download 30 seconds to Mars off of Itunes if you want. Maybe even a video too.

last time I went to a concert I had major issues with my phone. Those rooms are so humid and sweaty. Electronic devices kept in warm pockets don't agree.
