Help My MID 8650 Android Tablet Will Not Boot Up

Download Uberoid 10.1 from Universal Uberoid WM8650 1.5.5 HoneyCombMOD v10.1

Directions are on the site.

You may have to try more than one model number in the changer before you find one that matches your device correctly.

Hi, I would be glad to try to help you!
I have done at least 15 of these tablets and. I have enclosed my instructions below
and the link to the files from my website.

Follow these directions exactly:

Make sure your tablet is off.
Remove the SD Card.
Download the V9 Final ROM file to your PC from my site. Make sure you know
where to find it after it downloads:

I have uploaded the rom to my own website and it should
download very quick for you. Here is the link to my site

your desktop and get winrar to unpack the zip file at
http://rarlab.com/rar/wrar41b4.exe

Insert the SD Card into the media reader on your desktop PC.
The SD Card will now show up as a drive letter on your PC's File Manager,
just like C:\ except with a different letter assigned.

Every computer will be different. Let's just say that on your PC it is G:\.
Right click the drive letter of the SD Card (G:\). A pop-up menu appears.
Select "format" and format the card to Fat32.
Now, using a program like winzip or winrar, extract the ROM file that you
downloaded to your PC earlier to a new folder on your desktop
.
After it has extracted, it will have these folders:
firmwareinstall
Changer_files
and these 3 files on it:
changer.bat
wmt_scriptcmd
Universal_Uberoid_WM8650_v9.1.2.txt

Using your PC mouse, double click the "changer.bat" file. A pop up screen
appears.
Type in RT3070 and hit "enter" (this enables WiFi support)

Select the option number that corresponds to your tablet and press enter.
( I found option 27 to work on most wundermedia wm8650 ) if that dont work
run it again and choose option 2 (if that dont work,keep trying differnt
options until you get the right one) if that one hangs on the option
you selected, you will just have to keep running the changer and selecting a
different option number until you get it right. Make sure that after it does
boot that the touchsreen does in fact work.

(Please, if you are trying multiple options, just remember to try options
only for the size tablet you have.
For instance, if you have a 7 inch tablet, try only options
1,2,7,8,9,11,12,13,16,20,21,23,25,26,27,28,29,30,31, and 32.

After you select your option number and hit enter, the changer.bat will ask
you if you want to install the ROM on your SD Card hit y (yes) and if you
want your SD Card formatted. Answer "NO" since you already formatted it
earlier, let the program finish running completly and it will tell you when
its done.
Now safely remove the SD Card from the PC media reader.

Insert the SD Card back into your tablet and turn it on.

it will show a progress bar on the botton, when it's done it will tell you
to remove the sd card , (don't remove card until it says to) when you do
the tablet will reboot
.
Select the wmtlauncher when it comes to options screen and set as the
default and thats all there is to it.

This should only take a few minutes to boot the first time. Make sure that
after the tablet is up and running , that you reformat the sd card in a
computer again before you put it back in your tablet for storage.

i downloaded the rom from your website and choice 27 and it works fine the market and everything also. i have a wm8650. only 1 problem. i downloaded myplayer apk to watch ITV1 and other tv channels the picture shows to big out of the screen. do i need a video player decoder? youtube shows fine. also does the rom support skype. i downloaded skype but when i try to login it gives me an error. please can you help.

I had a similar problem to all the other posts. Your solution worked like a charm until I got to the "Complete Action Using VTL.Launcher or wmtLauncher". I had taken out the micro SD card and the unit re-booted well until it got to this statement. At this point, it appears that the touch screen doesn't work since touching any of the options doesn't work, even when I use a stylus. How can this be corrected?

Hi! I have the same problem (I have a MID WM8650). I completed all the details with the sd cad, but after I've inserted the card and turned on the tablet (I tried to push it long and short too), the green man appeared and stayed on the bottom of the screen, so nothing else happened... the progress bar didn' show...
What else I should try? The tablet hasn't been working since a month so I'm quite close to give up

problems with ANDROID 1.6 TABLET 7" WMT2.1.2_105 (MID or Apad)

- Freezes after the "Loading" message during the boot.
- The android system loading and after few seconds the display turn off and don't work nothing.
- Touchscreen does not responding/does not working.
- When upgrade the system of your Android Tablet see message:
"Udisk not found (/dev/sda)
Failed Upgrading filesystem. Exit!"
- Or you just want to reset your Android Tablet

I have the same problems with my Android Tablet and finally after several attempts
find this patch:

So, when you download it you must unzip it

you can unzip it with WinZip which you can here download at free trial mode:

When you unzip it you will see folder with name "2.0188".
Open this folder and you will see folder with name "script",
copy the folder "script" in your micro SD/TF memory card which you will put in your Android Tablet
(ATTENTION: Memory card must be TOTALLY empty!).

1.Connect your Android Tablet with charger.
2.Make sure the tablet is off!
3.Put memory card in your Android Tablet.
4.Turn on the tablet.
5.Now it will update do not interrupt this it can take 5 min.
6.Wait until the tablet says remove memory card.
7.When you remove the memory card the device will OFF.
8.Activate your device and you will be ready to use it again!
(ATTENTION: If you want to use the same memory card in your device you must delete the folder with name "script" from it -
Copy the folder "script" in your PC if you want again reset your Android Tablet).

I have a 7" WM8650 that wont turn on anymore. If i plug it in it lights up red but wont turn on. I would like to get this up and running again if it is possible, i have asked for help in many different android sites and nobody is willing to help..not even one suggestion. I got pictures on my page of the tablet i have its Black in the front, the button is gray with a black arrow and the back is all silver/gray one color plain. It was green when powered on, and red while charging..and it does not vibrate. any help would be greatly appreciated!! thanks for reading my post!

Mine was only working if it was plugged in at one point. As soon as i unplugged the charger it would power off...but now it wont even turn on..hoping to get it fixed!
