Help My new Dinc2 says I'm roaming...

First off hello everyone, this is my first post. This forum has helped me a lot in the past, so thanks for being here. I haven't been able to find an answer to my current problem. I just started service with Verizon. I have a Droid Incredible 2, and my wife has a Samsung Stratosphere. Both phones say we are in extended network, but mine also has me roaming. So I can't check for software updates unless I go into the big city (40 minutes away). Hers says she's not roaming. Is there a way I can change what tower I'm hooked up too? I really despise customer service, but I'll do it if I have to. Sorry for the long post, thanks guys.

I just tried again. It says "this feature is not authorized on your cellular phone....please call customer service". I noticed when I hung up a gray box flashed up saying programming unsuccessful.

I picked up the phones at Best Buy and they did the set up. Everything has been working ok as far as calls, texts, and media go. It's confusing.

I don't know if this will help at any point, but I've noticed my reception is affected when my phone isn't in CDMA mode. In Global mode it may seek out the nearest cell tower if you do factory reset. Good luck!

Well I found out that being in an extended network means that I can't receive or even check for updates unless I go into the next Verizon area. Which for me is about 35 minutes away. That sucks.
