My new Samsung Galaxy and the mysterious appearing apps

Hi there
Ive arranged my pages as I like them, yet every day new apps that I havent downloaded just pop up on my homepage and I was wondering why this is?

Also I get a message every single time I try to move something that says "you can resize widgets and reposition widgets and shortcuts' etc etc. How do I remove this?

Thanks for any help. Im brand new at The Android and abit confused after using an iphone for years.

The new icons are probably ads pushed by a dodgy free app youve installed. Really annoying eh :beer:

As for the message, what phone and what launcher are you using? That sounds like a feature of your software.
