1. Are you ready for the Galaxy S20? Here is everything we know so far!

My phone and tablet won't stop telling me to delete stuff, regardless of how much I delete

For example, my file managing app will say I have about 300mb free, so I'll use a phone cleaner app to get rid of junk files and duplicates and that app will say I deleted over 3 gigs of stuff.

After that I'll uninstall 4-6 apps and then the file manager tells me I have 1gb free, and my system alert will still keep telling me to delete things to free up space. None of those numbers are typos.

I'll also manually move files over 100mb from my internal storage to my cloud storage and the internal storage numbers don't change at all.

This has happened enough times that I know it's not gonna stop unless I do something I haven't tried yet

The phone is a Moto G7 Power (I know that's an old phone, replacing it soon), and I know you didn't ask but someone else might, the tablet is a Galaxy Tab A, model number SM -T510

Well your phone only has 32gigs of storage which is not much these days. Most of that will be allocated to the os. And I'm assuming the Tab A has the same amount.

You can maybe try extending the storage by formatting a sd card as internal. Just keep in mind this will wear out the card faster as it has only a finite amount of times that it will read and write.

Ohhhhh thank you! I forgot about that, kind of. I did think of that and both devices have decent SD cards with a lot of space.

I'm not familiar with the actual procedure though so I looked around online and found out it's not possible with the tablet but I forgot I should have looked for the phone separately lol

Well wait Idk for SURE that that's what it said but I definitely found out I can't run apps from an SD card on the tablet, which is what I really want because most of my storage is apps.

Also I didn't know SD cards wore out (idk wtf I didn't assume they did lol) Will I somehow find out when they're nearly done for? Or will they just crap out someday and I'll lose everything on them?

Use back up, like drop box, it will save your photos and memories altogether, also just backup with your comp too. :) That is what I have been doing for years without a SD card. :)
