Root My phone doesnt have much internal memory, should i root?

Hey guys :3 this is my first post! Well, I have a huawei activa 4g and it only has about 160mb of internal memory (to download apps and stuff) and it has about 23 mb left. The question is, should i root? Im afraid cus once i tried to jailbreak my ipod, and it got bricked cus it had barely any memory left so im scared that it will happen to my phone also.

Yeah rooting will help you move some apps to sd and remove some of the useless apps from metropcs
