I'm sorry, I'm new to these forums and I've been browsing around on the internet and located a few different threads about their phones getting wet.... but I'm hoping someone can shed some light and give me some new things to try! So, last Thursday I was babysitting. The kids were begging that I took them to McDonalds for lunch, so I did. There weren't enough cup holders in the front, so I had to put my dr. pepper in the back cup holder (which was right next to their feet). They decided they wanted to do a little kicking, and my dr. pepper spilled over... right onto my handbag. Inside my handbag was of course, my droid x. I didn't pay much attention to it as I didn't think the drink soaked into my bag, but it apparently did. About a half an hour after I got home, I decided to grab the phone out of my bag and do some facebooking.... Well, the whole bottom row (where the home, search key, etc) wouldn't work. So I quick took out the battery and dried it off real good. I let it sit and air dry for a couple hours. Once I thought it was good to go, I put the battery back in (i was anxious, I wanted to know if my phone was going to work!!) it turned on, but it went into "safe mode".... I thought I was saved and that my phone was okay, but I turned off my phone to try and take it out of safe mode. I've always been an iphone girl, so this whole droid thing is new to me. Well, the phone decided it DIDN'T want to turn on anymore. It loaded up to the "M"... but nothing else. I immediately took out the battery and put it in rice as I've seen suggested. I left it in there for about a day and a half and tried turning the phone on again. Same thing..... I've plugged it into the wall, plugged it into the computer, but I can't get it to go past the "M" symbol. I tried to hold down the search key while powering it on, but that wont work either.... Also, I know my phone couldn't have gotten THAT wet because both of the stickers inside are still white with the red x's on it. Can anyone please help?? Thanks!
