Help My phone never vibrates....

My Droid never vibrates, ever. No matter if it is set to vibrate only, silent, or max sound. It doesn't vibrate for calls, texts or for anything. I set vibrate on for both, calls and texts - and it never vibrates. I temporarily installed other apps to see if the phone is physically able to vibrate, and it is. I am not sure if I am missing an option, or if there is a software malfunction.

Does anybody know what the problem could be?

Do you get haptic feedback when pressing the bottom keys? If not (and haptic is enable in settings) then it sounds like a defective phone.

Haptic feedback works on the bottom four keys.

Huh. Is Settings-->Sound & Display--> Phone Vibrate checked?

Yup, it is checked.

I have the same problem myself, I've checked my settings and they are correct. Just no vibe' with my ring. Oh well I would have trouble feeling it through the case anyways.

Are you using a home screen modification?

If it were my Droid I would take it to a Verizon store and have them look at it. May be faulty. I am using home++ if you were asking me

Standard home screen for me, the tactile feedback works just fine as well.

download sound manager. check the vibrate options and see if that works.

Hmmmmmmm. Very interesting. The phone functions perfectly, besides that one "minor" issue. Addons can make it vibrate, so I don't know what exactly the problem is.

If you have Missed Call running, sometimes that messes with the vibrate. It did for me, so I had to enable vibrate in Missed Call for everything.

Hmm, let me uninstall it, to see if that changes anything.

I uninstalled missed call - no change. The phone still does not vibrate.

I have not changed a setting at all and now all of a sudden my vibrate works with ringing. I'm not complaining but what gives?

I get no vibrate for txts/email notifications. If i use stock messaging app, check box to vibrate on alert, it now vibrates and rings. not what i want it to do! minor issue, but quite annoying when i get a txt 2hrs later cuz i missed it while in my pocket. gggrrr

may seem minor to some, but this is a HUGE disappointment for me. I'll have to deal with the vib+ring for now.
