I called the Sprint store and they said there is a $100 deductable. Does anyone know if there's a way to get a free replacement? I have full coverage and in the past they've done it, but I'm not sure how I went about it.

Unless there's some way to prove that it was a mfg defect? Good luck. You were able to get a broken screen replaced with TEP without paying a deductible in the past? That's a feat! In this case, the $100 deductible doesn't sound too bad. A replacement screen will cost you at least $30-$40 via ebay and they're a pain to install. Good luck getting it repaired/replaced!

It wasn't exactly a broken screen before. It wouldn't turn on after it went flying onto an icy pavement. You could say I have bad luck with phones.

I'm actually surprised the screen broke this time though because it didn't even hit pavement.

It depends on the actual Sprint store.

I've ran into a couple that did "instore repair" that for whatever reason never charged me to replace cracked screens.

I remember one in north Houston that was churning them out for every customer that was coming in there as long as they had the TEP.

That same store once replaced the screen 3 times trying to get it to work right without good results, so they gave me a "refurb" for no charge whatsoever. Hell, I even asked a couple of times - how much was this going to cost me and they kept insisting that as long as I had the "insurance" I was solid.

Again those stores are hard to find.

It's my understanding Sprint repair is no longer replacing screens--regardless of TEP. Must now post the deductible.

    Wish you luck!

Well I went to a repair store and it looks like they're going to replace the screen for free. They didn't have any in, but are supposed to call me when they arrive.

Here is my experience. I am in Nashville. Our local SPRINT CORPORATE store said since I had the insurance, they would replace the screen if I purchased a $50 accessory. I said heck yes! I bought the Samsung Desk Dock and got my screen replaced.

What store was that? I have a cracked LCD but the "Screen" is fine... My biggest problem is I don't want to send off my phone for insurance replacement because I can't get my data off the internal card since I can't turn on the USB connection.

Replacements are less than 50 dollars on EBay, but installation is a pain.

Like all other things, though, Youtube and online tutorials will help you.
