my grand prime is stuck at software update. i rooted with kingroot. when i rebooted the phone it was like i just bought it and then an emergencey services manager window popped up. I've tried to use fastboot and odin 3.7 to flash but to no avail. Can i get the phone into usb debugging mode if it wont boot? Does it have to be in debugging mode to use odin?

Is the model number you posted correct?
Odin should work with phone in download mode regardless of USB debugging being checked.

Sorry, just found it. The Straight Talk version. Have you been able to find the firmware you can flash with Odin? Not much out there.

Wow a update. I have a SM S920l in my desk. I use a S7 edge now. Did you install TWRP?

Me neither as far as stock firmware, just the boot.img and stock recovery.

It might be worth flashing TWRP and asking someone on the TWRP thread for that device to post a clean Nandroid.

I think what @James L suggested might be your best bet. Post in the link above and ask if anyone has a TWRP backup they can share.
I had searched yesterday for firmware and came up zilch.

I don't use my phones for much storage wise so i never made a backup. I'll see if i can find a old SD card and I'll make a clean backup. If i can find a SD card.

I use my laptops for just about everything....
