Well my touch screen just stopped working and on opening up I find the cables broke!
I've ordered a new one but had a though while it was open.

The pad uses a class 2 16gb card and I have a class 10 16 gb in the slot.

    Q1 - Will I notice a difference swapping the 2 cards around.
Q2 - How hard is it to swap the files around?

Yes you will notice a difference in performance. Swapping is simple. You can either save the internal for a backup or reuse it. All you need to do is format the 16 class 10 as fat32 and place it in the internal slot. After everything is back together just flash like normal. If you want to reuse the old internal get Easeus, great simple tool.
