My daughter is 2 1/2. I'm stuck on the fact that Nabi 2 doesn't come with Google Play nor the ability to download it. Hmph.
I don't want her to not "be able to grow...." with her device. Seemingly hard to accomplish growing with the LeapPad 2.

    Thoughts?

The LeapPad seems to be a completely closed, locked-down, walled-garden system. Anything you put on the thing, has to come from LeapFrog.

The Nabi does have the Amazon app store, so it's not completely closed, and you can side-load apps as well. The Amazon store is pretty good for apps, not as extensive as Google though.

The Play Store is possible to get on the Nabi 2, but it entails rooting it. And Nabi is a full functioning, powerful android tablet.

I'd post you a link, but I'm on the Phandroid app. But if you Google search for "Root Nabi 2" it'll bring up a link to xda-developers.
