OK, this is an odd question, but I'm hoping someone has looked into this. When I mount my Droid to my computer, it just shows up as "Removable Drive," which is kind of the default for any USB drive. However, I've seen some drives (WD, Seagate, Iomega) that "announce" themselves to the computer, and so show up as "WD Passport," for example. I'm wondering if there's a place somewhere in the Droid to enable something similar.

Not really anything critical, just thought it'd be neat...

After mounting the DROID's sdcard, just go into Windows Explorer or My Computer, right-click on Removable Drive and Rename. You can call it anything you want. The next time you mount it, the new name will show up.

Other than that, I don't think the DROID will do this for you.

I like renaming it because then you know when it is mounted by looking at the name of the drive.
