Root NAND/Titanium.. quick question

    Do I need Titanium or are they essentially accomplishing the same thing?

    nandroid backups are snapshots of your entire phone (minus sd card).

    titanium will backup what apps you use, what data is associated with them, and much of the system's settings. You won't get everything, but you get everything you need to make a newly flashed rom feel just like your old one.

    Nandroid backups are great for "oops" moments after flashing. Titanium is great for getting your phone up to speed.

    if you plan on changing roms fairly often then yes i would say you need both.
