Root Nandroid?

    Ok, I just can't figure this out. How do you get Nandroid installed so you can create backups? I am looking all over and just can't figure it out.

    There're instructions in the very first post in the xda thread:

    Needs an unlocked bootloader, of course.

    Are you sure that is correct? recovery-RA-nexus-v1.5.3.img is to flash the firmware on top of the current firmware. I am looking to backup before I do it. My understanding is you need Nandroid and it appears you have to go through a few steps and few different apps to get it to work.

    Uh, AmonRA's recovery is Nandroid. It's not a firmware. It's not a ROM. It's not a radio image. Read.

    Actually it's not what I am looking for and it does flash it.

    I was able to read some other other things and figure it out.
