    Hi!
Im new to the android DEV scene and i was wondering if anyone wanted to create an app with me. This would be an App that lets you connect to a NAS, and play media files/browse pictures on it. If there is already an app like this, would someone comment with the name of it below? I dont really have much app coding experience, but this would be a fun project and learning experience if anyone wanted to partner with me and make it.

There's 'SMB music' [edit: whoops that is for the iPhone ]

    ['File Expert' looks promising ]

Astro may be able to do this as well.

If you can get CIFS installed in your ROM then nearly any media player will do the trick.

Personally I'm not interested in playing media per se. Instead I would like to create playlists of music on my NAS but do it on my phone. So I'm wrestling with obtaining a 'cifs.ko' module to plug into the kernel of my rooted Eris.

Finally, if your NAS supports upnp (like my LaCie) then you may be able to stream directly to an app on your phone.

    HTH ...
